1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using RemoteStrings, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. These Terms govern access to, and use of, the RemoteStrings Platform and/or the Services by visitors to the Website, individuals or entities who create Accounts or purchase Subscriptions, and their Authorized Users.
2. Definitions
- "Service" means the RemoteStrings platform, including all features, APIs, SDKs, and related websites.
- "Platform" means RemoteStrings's proprietary online platform designed for managing the localization and translations of mobile apps, web, games, IoT, SaaS, other software products, marketing and other digital content.
- "User" means any individual or entity using the Service.
- "Customer" means a natural or legal person who has accepted these Terms with RemoteStrings.
- "Authorized User" means an individual natural person, whether an employee, business partner, contractor, or agent of a Customer who is registered or permitted by the Customer to access a Team's Workspace and/or use the Services.
- "Subscription" means a paid plan granting access to premium features of the Service.
- "Content" means all data, text, files, and materials uploaded or created by Users on the Service.
- "Team's Workspace" means a designated virtual space where Authorized Users may create Projects and access the Services.
- "Project" means the set of interrelated textual items (segments) to be translated by the Customer's Authorized Users in the Team's Workspace.
3. User Accounts and Access
3.1 Account Creation
- You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and all activities under your account.
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
- If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of an organization or entity, you represent that you have the legal authority to bind that entity.
3.2 Workspace Administration
- The Customer may exclusively provide instructions on the requested Services or assign and authorize an Authorized User as its agent to manage the Team's Workspace.
- The Team Owner may configure administration settings, assign access and use authorization, request different or additional Services, and manage permissions.
- The Customer has ultimate authority to replace Team Owners or remove them from the Team at its own discretion.
4. Subscriptions, Purchases & Payments
4.1 Subscription Terms
- Some features require a paid Subscription. Pricing, features, and billing cycles are described on our Pricing page.
- By purchasing a Subscription, you authorize us to charge your payment method for recurring fees until you cancel.
- All fees are exclusive of taxes. You are responsible for any applicable taxes.
- Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of your access to the Service.
- We may change Subscription fees with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
4.2 Free Trials
- We offer a 14-day free trial with access to all features.
- No credit card is required to start the trial.
- At the end of the trial, you must choose a paid plan or your access will be limited.
5. Use of Service & Restrictions
5.1 Permitted Use
- You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
- You retain ownership of your Content, but grant us a license to use, host, and display it as necessary to provide the Service.
- You are responsible for ensuring you have all necessary rights to upload and process Content through the Service.
5.2 Prohibited Activities
- You may not: (a) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service; (b) use the Service to infringe any third-party rights; (c) upload malicious code; (d) resell or sublicense the Service without our written consent.
- You may not use the Service to store or transmit any material that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
- You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service or any other systems or networks connected to the Service.
6. Intellectual Property
- All intellectual property rights in the Service, including software, design, and trademarks, are owned by RemoteStrings or its licensors.
- You may not use our branding without prior written permission.
- You retain all rights to your Content, but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, and display your Content as necessary to provide the Service.
7. Data Protection & Privacy (GDPR)
7.1 Data Processing
- We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws, including GDPR.
- You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any personal data to the Service.
- We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data.
7.2 Data Security
- We maintain appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your data.
- We regularly review and update our security practices to maintain the highest standards of data protection.
8. Support & Service Levels
- We aim to provide reliable Service and reasonable support via email and our help center.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free Service. Planned maintenance will be announced in advance when possible.
- Support response times may vary based on your subscription level.
9. Termination
9.1 Termination by You
- You may cancel your Subscription at any time via your account dashboard.
- Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Except as required by law, payments are non-refundable.
9.2 Termination by Us
- We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or suspected abuse.
- Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
- We may delete your Content after a reasonable period following termination.
10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
10.1 Disclaimers
- The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind.
- We do not guarantee that the Service will meet your specific requirements or be error-free.
10.2 Limitation of Liability
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, RemoteStrings is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business.
- Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
- You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RemoteStrings and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
- This includes any claims related to your Content or your violation of any third-party rights.
12. Changes to Terms
- We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes.
- Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
- If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service.
13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to conflict of law principles.
- Any disputes will be resolved primarily through good-faith negotiations.
- If unresolved, disputes may be submitted to the courts of Istanbul (Central) unless otherwise required by law.
14. Beta Features
- We may offer beta features or services for testing and evaluation purposes.
- Beta features are provided "AS IS" and may be modified or discontinued at any time.
- We make no warranties regarding beta features and they may contain bugs or errors.
